Hello once again web folk the last time I posted for the entrepreneurial blog I was writing about resources to find good start up franchises. In the interest of wanting to dig a little deeper on this topic I decided that for this post I would follow up on the franchise research and look at the home based niche. This particular segment of franchises have been steadily growing in spite of the economy being in a recession.
Obviously the biggest reason why the home based franchise is gaining so much popularity is the limited out of pocket cost to the potential entrepreneur. I believe that pretty much everyone at some point in their adult life has dreamed of working their own business. Even bigger than that dream is the one where you can earn a nice income working out of your home which is why there will never be shortage of people trying to start their own or invest in a home based franchise. So with those obivous points stated what do you think are some of the more popular home franchises that are enjoying a lot of success right now? Well a quick look at the top ten homebased franchises for 2011 and the first thing you will notice is that commercial cleaning services has a lot of potential. Six of the top ten are in the market of commercial cleaning with start up fee’s ranging from $3450 all the way up to $93k. When I saw the range of how small or big you can start out with you own cleaning service it was pretty staggering. Not only the cost but that there is apparently a very large need in the market of commercial cleaning, just think about all the commercial, industrial and retail facilities that are in your town? Now consider the work force that it must take to keep all of that clean and you can start to grasp the potential that just this one niche holds for potential entrepreneurs.
I would encourage you to look at the whole list of homebased franchises because there are over 100 of them listed there. Opportunities like pet care, tutoring services, medical billing and handy man services just to name a few. As you do review that list you may find that you have an idea for something that is not listed there? That would be awesome because if you do really have a valid idea that has true business potential you may find yourself on the ground floor of your very own homebased franchise. If that is the case than you will want to spend a little more time on that site researching the ins and outs of how you can take your concept to it’s execution.
